The United Nations and the Royal Danish Embassy jointly organised an Educational exchange program for schools of Delhi from 15 April to 22 April 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark and Sweden. As a part of this Educational Exchange Program the students of Manava Bharati India International School, Panchsheel Park, went to Denmark and Sweden accompanied by the faculty member Ms. Ankita Chakraborty. After reaching Copenhagen on 15 April 2018 the group was welcomed by Sociologist Ms. Eva Løvschall Haugaard Pedersen, Danish coordinator of this program. Participating students

A team of seven students of Manava Bharati India International School, Panchsheel Park, accompanied by their Physics teacher - Ms. Vandana Hooda participated in Indian national quarterfinal of INSSDC-2017 (INDIAN NATIONAL SPACE SETTLEMENT DESIGN COMPETITION) in Manesar from Nov 2-5, 2017 and won the RUNNER-UP TROPHY.
The concept was sponsored by American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Houston, Texas with support from National Space Society (NSS) and NASA, USA.
The teams earned the privilege by preparing the best proposals to design a habitat occupying natural Lava Tubes on the surface of Earth’s moon LUNA. Each team was mentored by a CEO from the industry from countries like Australia, UK, USA and India who gave them technical and management training.
Teams from different schools all over India designed an overall structure, defined sources of materials, specified vehicles, provided sources of energy, water management, designed computer and robotics systems for different tasks, community design with cost and schedule. The competition concluded with the teams’ presentation of briefings about their designs to a panel of judges.
Overall it was an amazing experience and helped the students integrate their knowledge and utilize their skills in space science, physics, computer science and innovation with common sense.
An Inter-School Competition
Street theatre is a form of theatrical performance and presentation in outdoor public spaces without a specific paying audience. They are especially seen in outdoor spaces where there are large numbers of people. The actors who perform street theatre range from buskers to organised theatre companies. Its journey began in India long back . This is more of a social communication process with a participatory approach ,than a simple art. Senior students from Manava Bharati Indi International School, Panchsheel Park participated in Theatron 2017 at DPS RK Puram . The Expressions Theatre Club of Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram organised ‘Theatron’, an Annual Inter school Theatre fest on 22 July 2017.
Mr. Kaushik Sachdev, Founder, Expressions Theatre Club and a copywriter along with Mr. Manish Jha, associated with mass communication and popular theatre groups were the judges for street play( Nukkad Natak. The theme of the street play was “जात बनी अभिशाप”. Young Manavites secured the second position among the twenty –two participating schools.
