Universal Declaration of Human Rights

UDHR : Video Project Blog*

We had the great fortune to be contacted by Jawad and Neha (above), students in India who were interested in our project and who offered to record the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Jawad is from Afghanistan and speaks Dari, one of the two main languages there. At 16, he has already been active in several rights campaigns and we were very impressed with his commitment and clarity about the importance of education in the struggle for human rights:

“I hope that what I and my friends did in order to take a small step towards a better world make UDHR more accessible so that not only more people understand about their rights but also they respect each other’s rights.”

Keep your eyes on Jawad! He’s going to make a mark on the struggle for social justice!
