Annual Celebrations : Dec 2011

To coincide with Delhi's centenary as the capital of India, 'Dilli to Delhi' was chosen as the theme for the Annual Day. The school's spacious campus, at Panchsheel Park, was decorated for the celebrations with various exhibits highlighting the theme. More than 400 students depicted glimpses of Delhi’s rich cultural tradition.

Mr. K. Rahman Khan, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and Dr. Mrinal Miri, Chancellor of Arunachal University, were the guests of honour at the cultural evening. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Bharati Pandey, reminded the audience that this year was also the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. The anniversary is of special significance for the Manava Bharati fraternity since the school's founder, Dr. Durga Prasad Pandey, began his career at Shantiniketan, as an associate of the great poet.
