Uditayan

Joining a school is a big step for your child. Manava Bharati appreciates the importance of this step for you and your child. We have used our years of experience to create Uditayan – a vibrant pre-primary school - an ideal environment for the first years of your child’s formal education.  Everything, from the ambience to the facilities, is specially chosen to make your child’s first experience of school both interesting and enjoyable. Away from the cluttered confines of urban living - Uditayan set in natural settings provides the right ambience for the healthy growth of your child.

Our approach to education is holistic and stress is laid to inculcate in children the eagerness to learn and develop independent thinking and an inquiring mind. Emphasis is laid on inculcating overall discipline including good mannerisms, cleanliness and punctuality. It is a stepping stone for future education. It is imperative to give the child the right foundation in the formative years when the child has just stepped out of the sheltered home environment.

Curriculum

In these exploratory years, the learning process at Uditayan has been designed in such a way that the entire experience is one of happiness & joy. Here, the approach to education is holistic & stress is laid to inculcate in your children the eagerness to learn & develop an independent thinking and an enquiring mind. Music, song, dance, art, craft - work, games etc form an important aspect of the learning-by-doing methodology at this centre. We offer a broad curriculum covering a wide range of subjects and skills so that by the time they graduate to the primary level they will have begun to identify individual areas of talent. Our broad curriculum gives them the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects and skills.

Our aim is to nurture the children's desire to learn, experiment, play and to gain independence. The curriculum is designed to foster the emotional, physical, social, intellectual and creative development of each child.

The curriculum allows children to learn freely and to choose their own pursuits within clearly defined limits. They are encouraged to use all the materials available: pencils, crayon, paint, dough, clay, sand, water and even computers; story and poetry books from the Library Corner, and other toys that encourage motor co-ordination and concentration skills.

Beyond the Classroom

The school lays a lot of emphasis on extra-curricular activities. It is important for the children to participate in the activities and parents must encourage their child to take part in the same. A number of interclass, inter House and Inter School activities are organised for the children.

Children have ample opportunity to participate in the activities such as: art & craft, including collage making, clay modelling and calligraphy.

Activities that build communications skills, such as dramatics, dance, music, story-telling, recitation, Show & Tell, etc.

Physical development through activities like mini tennis, skating, karate, yoga and basketball.

Traditional values and respect for all religions are promoted through collective celebration of various festivals.

Family values, code of conduct and environmental concerns contribute towards an all-round development at Uditayan.

Awareness, self confidence and independence are promoted through regular trips and excursions in and around Delhi related to the

        curriculum.

The excellent playgrounds, include a splash pool and skating rink, mini tennis court provide ample scope for your child’s physical    development.
